Quality Veg is a fourth-generation family farming business based in the Western Cape and a pioneer of baby vegetable production in the region. Starting from a small packhouse with just seven employees, the business became the first commercial grower of baby carrots in the Western Cape and has grown into a major supplier of baby vegetables for local and international markets. Today, the business is headed by Gunther Rix and Mark McElhone, who continue to build on the farm’s legacy of quality, innovation and customer service.

Benefiting from the Cape’s Mediterranean climate and fertile soils, Quality Veg produces baby carrots with tops, rainbow carrots, baby fennel, beetroot and turnips. Situated close to Cape Town International Airport, the farm is ideally placed to ensure exceptional freshness and efficient delivery to export markets.
