Quality Veg farm is located in Ottery, Cape Town. A truly unique farming operation, this farm is just minutes away from both the iconic Table Mountain and Cape Town International Airport.
Owned and run by third generation farmers, the Rix family have been Yukon grower partners since 2013 and they supply a wealth of baby vegetables. From purple carrots, to baby fennel, through to our baby beetroot varieties, the farming operation runs throughout the year.
The BRC accredited farm is strategically located in the urban hub of Cape Town, so their fleet of vans can deliver extremely fresh produce to Cape Town International Airport daily.
Unemployment is a big issue in South Africa and the mass migration to urban areas means it can often be hard to find employment in areas like Cape Town. Quality Veg’s location means that their workforce all live minutes away from the farm in some of the most deprived areas of the city. Growing baby vegetables all year round means that they can employ over 180 people.
